Das nenn ich doch mal ein Angebot! Im TextMate Blog beschreibt der Entwickler Allan Odgaard wie ein Windows-Benutzer dazu drängt, dass er den berühmten Editor doch endlich auf Windows portieren solle. Allan blieb aber hart und argumentierte damit, dass er an seinem Produkt auch Freude haben möchte, und bei Windows hat man ja generell keine Freude mehr.
Er machte aber ein interessantes Angebot. Wenn der Windows-Benutzer sich einen Mac kauft, schenkt er im eine kostenlose Lizenz für TextMate. Der Windows-Benutzer ist inzwischen ein Switcher und hat seinen Mac, inklusive TextMate! Nun macht sich Allan gedanken, wie man diese Idee weiterführen könnte auf seine und andere Mac-Produkte und wie sich der Ablauf automatisieren lassen könnte.
Ich bin gespannt ob es die Aktion noch immer gibt, wenn es bei mir soweit ist…
